क्यूं भला चाहने की हसरत कीजिये
बस हम देखिये और नफ़रत कीजिये
मुस्कान, तारीफ़, हाल चाल ठीक है
पहले जनाब अर्ज़-ए-मतलब कीजिये
आप को कहां पड़ी है हिंदोस्तान की
आप का सीधा मक़सद देहशत कीजिये
दिन को रात, रात को दिन करने वालों
ज़रा अपने से कभी फुर्सत कीजिये
सारी परशानी यहाँ आ के ठहरी है
बस रात ओ दिन घर से दफ्तर कीजिये
तुम ही तो हो ज़िम्मेदार इस हालत के
अब क्यूं हमें देख कर हैरत कीजिये
सुबह से शाम की मजदूरी के बाद
चारागर कहते हैं कसरत कीजिये
मारे नहीं मार पाते हो हमें
ऐसे केसे चलेगा मेहनत कीजिए
ज़माने का दस्तूर ही कुछ ऐसा है
बेइंतहां इश्क कर फुर्कत कीजिये
कुछ दिन शर्म में ही डूब रहें हम
कभी संग अपने कुछ हरकत कीजिये
‘ कर्ज़दार’ तबाह करने तुले हैं वो लोग
जो भरे मूंह कहते थे बरकत कीजिये
